Calling All Chocolate Lovers!
Main Street Delaware’s ‘Chocolate Walk’ to feature the sweet confection

The oh-so-addictive treat of chocolate evolved from a food for the gods in Mayan culture to a delicacy featured in the salons of Europe to a mainstream must-have snack for many. On Friday, February 5, chocoholics are invited to savor this sweet treat during Main Street Delaware’s annual “Chocolate Walk.”

This First Friday event begins at 6 p.m. Chocolate-craving connoisseurs will need to purchase $5 tickets to receive a treat at all participating businesses. Tickets will be exchanged for a map that outlines the locations of the tasty treats. Tickets are available in advance or on Friday at Beehive Books, 25 N. Sandusky St.; Simple Indulgences, 31 N. Sandusky St.; or by contacting Main Street at (740) 816-3859 or mainstreetdelaware@yahoo.com.

Snacks to satisfy the sweet tooth will include chocolate-covered Oreos, cupcakes, hot chocolate, a variety of quality candies, and chocolate shots (for those of legal age).

Children also will be welcome to create and decorate their own Valentine’s Day cards at Keiko’s Bead Box, 20 S. Sandusky St. So throw those calorie cares to the wind, and attend the “Chocolate Walk” for a sweet time!
