OWU Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy Bob Kaye, Ph.D., and physics major Alex Howe ’11 traveled to Waikoloa, Hawaii, during fall break for the Joint Meeting of the Nuclear Physics Divisions of the Japanese and American Physical Societies, an international conference on nuclear physics research. Howe presented the results of his 2009 OWU summer research during an undergraduate poster session. Kaye outlined his research in an oral presentation. Most of Howe’s travel and lodging expenses were funded through an award from The National Science Foundation’s Conference Experience for Undergraduates program.
